Step 1: Read the Clue Rows

Green (P): Letter is in the word and in the exact correct slot.

Yellow (L): Letter is in the word, but in a different slot.

Grey (A, N, T): Letters are NOT in the word at all.

The puzzle will give you the best clues possible, and a lot of information is inferred:

Here, we know that because there is only one yellow S, there is only one S in the puzzle, and because there is a grey S in the last position, we know its not there. Othrewise the S in the last place would be green.
The Game will prioritize green, yellow then grey clues.

Step 2: One Shot to Solve

You have only ONE guess row to deduce the secret word that satisfies all clues. Typing the 5th letter automatically checks your answer!

Step 3: Elo Rating & Clue Market Example

Solve Easy to unlock Medium, and Medium for Hard. Everyone starts at 1,200 Elo.

Step-by-Step Example:

1. You start at 1,200 Elo on Easy, standing to gain +14 Elo for a win.

2. You buy an extra clue! This forfeits the harder board state, so you lose -5 Elo immediately.

3. The puzzle is now easier, so it is worth less (e.g. payout is now +8 Elo instead of +14).

4. If you solve it with the extra clue, your net result is +3 Elo (+8 payout - 5 clue cost).

Step 4: Midnight Deadline & Calendar

• Incomplete Puzzles Expire: If you open a daily puzzle and leave it unfinished past midnight, it will automatically be counted as a LOSS.

• Archive Puzzles: You can use the calendar icon to play any past daily puzzle.

• Archive Midnight Rule: If you open a past archive puzzle today, you still only have until midnight OF TODAY to complete it before it is marked as a loss!
