How to Play
SQORDY is a daily word puzzle where a word square of rows and columns are made up of words. The aim of the game is to get the words before you lose all your tokens.
Click on a square and the keyboard will give you clues, enter a letter and the square will change colour!
Everytime you enter a letter that is incorrect (even if you get a hint) you lose 1 token.
Black filled letters are not a possibility
Grey filled letters are a possibility
Blue background means this letter is in this column, -1 token
Orange background means this letter is in this row, -1 token
Split colour means this letter is in this row and column, -1 token
Green means correct position, you earn 1 token back

How are the word squares made?
The word list for this game comes from a curated vocabulary prevalence study, meaning 90%+ of the population knows all the words, ensuring fair, non-mirrored everyday English word squares.
Why is there no cookie tracking banner?
SQORDY is 100% private. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics identifiers, or third-party ads. All your game progress and stats are stored strictly on your local device (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers or third parties.
